WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Group psychotherapy can be a life-changing experience, offering relational experiences critical to the process of healing, growth and transformation;

Psychodrama experienced in a group format Is perhaps the most powerful and effective modality in the therapeutic repertoire. These sessions showcase the use of psychodrama and sociometry, while teaching theory and technique invaluable for becoming a psychotherapist, and for anyone working towards self-improvement.

The participants of this workshop will have the opportunity to experience the magic of growth and change, while gaining training and expertise in basic psychodrama action techniques.

OBJECTIVES

Participants will be able to:

understand and explain psychodrama
experience key psychodrama action techniques of surplus reality, role taking, role reversal and doubling for both their professional work and their personal healing, growth and change
use psychodrama specifically for accessing emotion, revolving conflict and repairing relationships;
use sociometric techniques to increase cohesion and belonging in their work and in their lives.

Member and Editorial Consultant, and Recipient of the Zerka Moreno Award (2016) of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP) and Certified Practitioner (CP) and Practitioner and Trainer (PAT) of the American Board of Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy (ABE);
